Latest Watchtower Micromanagement
by metatron ini noticed that the koolaid/study issue of the watchtower now contains directed scripture citations in bold letters, such as:.
"read 1 corinthians 5:2".
i suppose this is consistent with all the other trends in watchtower-land, especially with their new brochure for the illiterate and mentally challenged, "listen to god".

It's not the first time they've done this. There have been issues in the past, in the once public/kool aid version, where they wanted to make sure certain verses were read and discussed. They know that some WT conductors tend to head in a direction they think is the main point and miss out on the specific thought of the scripture. The "Read" direction is so that it is read out loud during the congregation study of the material. Nothing to write home about. It's old news.

How can i make my cat drink?

his urine smells strong like human patients that i used to work with did when they hadn't drunk enough.. hes got fresh water down all the time, but hes not touching it?.

Pig in a headlock beating its face in -- an illustration of lack of self control
by bnybyt ini went to the last dc in amherst this summer.. on sunday the symposium part on appreciating the messianinc king's appealing personality.... the part on self-controlled opened up with an illustration that i kid you not repulsed me so much i had to get up and walk about in the concourse, go to the bathroom and splash cold water on my face.. the speaker opened up by saying a man grabbed a pig in a headlock and proceeded to punch its face, over and over as hard as he could.. just visualizing the illustration almost made me throw up.. there was no way i could sit through that talk.. the speaker went on as if the illustration was an excellent example of how some people lack self-control.. how about showing some self-control in choosing illustrations that don't make people cringe or gag, brother?.
was that really in the outline?.
was that illustration used in other dc's?.

Do active JW's understand the "new light" on the feet toes of the staue in Daniel?
by donny incan someone enlighten me as to what is the new understanding vs the old one regarding the vision of the statue was given by god to king nebuchadnezzar of babylon in a dream?
i have asked two of the jw's who work with me and neither of them were able to explain it to me.
the best i got was "well the feet and clay are not just the u.s. and great britain, they are i think most of the big powers as a whole or something like that.".

I've spoken to a couple who were arguing over it. I guess not. Most don't care or have any point of reference. They just want to make it to the "picnic with a panda" world. Why does the WT have such a foot fetish anyway?

Im Going To Be Disfellowshipped!
by TimothyT inin 6 months, my life has completely changed!.
i have chosen to be gay, i no longer suffer with guilty suicidal feelings, i have the most amazing boyfriend, and my parents and friends accept me for who i am.. i was informed today that a judicial comitee will be formed to disfellowship me.
i dont feel any kind of bitterness or sadness despite the fact that this is all i have known for 20 years and im about to lose some very close friends.. on the contrary, i feel fabulous!!!

I think the "choice" he meant was that he has chosen to be true to his sexuality instead of lying about it and playing straight for the "brothers" any longer. The choice was between his sexuality and the shackles of the Watchtower doctrine. Fabulous, apparently.

Sept.15th WT - Submit to the WT Society or Jehovah Will Not Know You
by flipper inthis was some of the most blatant , aggressive , controlling information i've seen in awhile in the " witness only " version of the wt.
of course, it's always blatant, but the manner that was used in this article was so authoritative and demanding - it's apparent the wt society is losing members and they are amping up the control tactics to keep members trapped.

Flip, once out we can truly see the manipulation. We see the madmen clearly. The further away the more controlling they seem. They seem even more controlling because we have become increasingly released mentally from their clutches. Those in do not see the reality. For them its always been this way, submit or die. It is what gives them (false) hope. I think the articles are just variations on a theme.
